The purpose of Book Three, Card Writing, is to acquaint the penman with the "how to" of creating calling cards and announcements. Layout styles utilize artistic, business writing, and script. Embellished techniques are also provided. An oblique holder fit to a No. 7, E-Z or No. 356 nib is essential. For best results a free flowing ink with plenty of contrast is necessary. Our Glossy Black and Soot Black inks are recommended.

Book Five provides elementary as well as advanced copies in the use of the pen; to show present day adaptation of the beautiful strokes of pen flourishing so widely used in years past. Useful for flourishing simple ornamental designs or elaborate work complete with scrolls,quills, birds and other designs, the copies are so arranged that a student may profit greatly by study at home or greater improvement in a class room with the help of a teacher.
