Here are examples of the lettering styles used in our studio for hand lettered awards, resolutions, citations, recognition awards, corporate awards and poems.
To emphasize a recipient's name or company name in a resolution, award, citation or scroll, the capitals of the name can be filled with geniune 23K gold, lettered entirely in a color like dark blue, lettered witth the bottom in one color and the top half in a complementary color with a gold or silver dot where the two colors meet, and/or shaded with a light gray wash to give added depth. Also, a combination of these styles can be used, for example, the name with 23k gold capitals and then shaded with the light gray wash.
Examples of 3 names using Cadel capitals
Calligraphy lettering styles 1 through 5
are used for the main emphasis lines like: company name, recipient's name on a recognition award, resolution, citation, or scroll; or in the heading of a poem. After being lettered, each letter is ruled and fine line details are added.
Calligraphy lettering styles 8 through 10
are also used for the main emphasis lines like: company name, recipient's name on a recognition award, resolution, citation, or scroll; or for the heading of a poem. These styles are not ruled after lettering and have no fine line detailing.
Calligraphy lettering styles 11 through 15
are used for the smaller text lettering in the body of a recognition award, resolutions, hand lettered calligraphy sayings and poems.
